Monty was saved out of
a backyard by a close friend of our who broke him into
harness, and then he was given to us to drive and enjoy.
He became one of the foundation members of our stud and is
one of our biggest assets. He is the most loving and
devoted friend and companion to us all.
Monty has the most
beautiful movement for a small horse and has done very well
for us, winning a number of championships in show driving
and went on to achieve Hi Point Driven Dressage Horse in
South East Queensland for 2003 against all his larger
counterparts and all in the Open Harness Ring. Monty
was then rested for a year while we set up our new
facilities. At weaning time he is very busy as the
foals leave their mums. They are put with Monty, and
he is there for them, giving them all the confidence and
self-assurance when needed. Whilst they all play
together, he teaches them all the valuable lessons in life
whilst building valuable muscle tone and herd manners.
Monty really is the perfect balance in the paddock.
